Once upon a time …

Hof van Lier is situated in the Dender Valley within Flanders, and is part of the private estate of Zandbergen Castle, the family seat of the 12th Count de Lalaing and his family. The historic farm was originally built in 1715 in order to provide food for the castle and today has been transformed back in to a working farm.

Villagers and locals once again come together to socialise in our bar and terrace at the farm house, or collect their vegetables from the Organic Farm. Hof van Lier is also home to a variety of special horse breeds which are available for young and old to ride at our stables.

We look forward to welcoming you to come and stay in our guest house and discover our charming surroundings within the Flemish Ardennes.
